Qingyuangang Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Hailar Basin. The Qingyuangang Formation was named by the Second Petroleum Team in 1961. The type locality is down the borehole of Bei 4.
Lithology and Thickness
The Qingyuangang Formation is a group of pink red, gray siltstone, muddy siltstone, with intercalations of sandy conglomerate. It is about 300 m thick.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The Qingyuangang Formation is unconformably overlying the Yimin Fm.
Upper contact
The Qingyuangang Formation is unconformably below the Huchashan Fm (Miocene).
Regional extent
It is distributed in the Hailar basin.
